EASTER CAMP 2007
This year
CFF ventured inland to the country for their Easter camp
to Camp Moogerah
at Boonah. Although the countryside was dry, it was a
terrific time to reflect on Christ as our living water &
dive into the studies led by Lorelle Parnicott & Scott
Huntington. It was great to reflect on God in the midst
of our "Yesterday, Today & Tomorrow" theme.
As well as our learning sessions
everyone got involved with the team building activities
& it was great chance to work together & get to know
others better. Friday night many went to experience the
very realistic Passion Play depicting the life of
Christ, on the banks of the Moogerah dam. Saturday
afternoon people went off to explore the countryside &
after dinner we used our remaining energy to 'kick up
our heels' with some lively bush dancing.
Below are some comments from
campers, as well as some pictures of our wonderful time
together.
"Being here
has made me feel more confident in meeting new people.
Everyone is so accepting."
"It was a
good opportunity to meet some new people and I thought
the talks were very relevant. I learnt a lot."
"You put a lot of effort into
organising this for us and it really shows."
"A great time to establish new
friendships and strengthen old ones. Heaps of fun, but
also a chance to learn more about yourself and God's
plan for your life."
"I didn't know bush dancing could be
such fun!"
We hope to see
many more happy campers next year at Watson Park,
Dakibin for our 2008 Easter Camp. ** Don’t forget
Easter is early next year…Fri 20 til Sun 22 March ‘08)

EASTER CAMP 2006
About 55 people were part of the fun time at Apex Camp
Mudjimba for CFF’s first Easter camp at the fabulous
Sunshine Coast.
The
weather was gorgeous, the team games challenging, the
campers’ attitudes positive & the overall atmosphere was
relaxing & enjoyable.
Joanne Miller & Barry Huntington provided creative &
reflective studies while the bush dance, evening games &
camp fire provided people with a chance to get to know
each other better & have further fun & fellowship.
Below are some snap shots of our time together & some
personal testimonies…
I usually like
my own company and I didn’t know how I would cope all
weekend with so many people. I surprised myself and
really enjoyed the interaction and activities. I have
made some new friends. Thanks.
CFF Easter camp 2006 was such
great fun I got to met so many new friends. The team
building games were fantastic, they pushed me beyond my
limits that I thought I could never go to, and the
comrade in the group was as though we had been friends
for years. You guys made me feel welcomed from the
moment I arrived to the time we had to say goodbye.
Even now today (3 days after the camp) I miss you all.
God did some amazing work in me, and he restored
something beautiful in me, that I thought I had lost.
What an amazing God we serve. He is just
awesome!!!!!!!!! All of you at CFF. I now class as my
closes friends. Thank you all again for a great and
fantastic camp. I have been so blessed to have met you
all, hope to see you at the Gala Dinner in June.
love to all God bless. Raylene
I
liked the team games - we got to know each other in the
team.
The singing around the bonfire was really good.
The speakers
were really different to each other. It gave me lots to
think about and I have learnt a lot.
I can't wait to tell my friends to come along next
year. It was good to be with all other
Christian singles and be the norm for a change. Very
liberating.
